As a dumb kid I might have thought there was something inherently wrong about it, but there are so many factors at play, obviously there's going to be waste as a byproduct of imperfect information. If you focus on just one form of that waste and pretend that solving that waste would be trivial
I went hungry as a child because my parents were unwilling to fulfill the responsibility they chose by having a child. I could also make an argument it was made unnecessarily difficult for them because of central banking involuntarily enforced perverse incentives, but that's a cop-out.
btw Intel has no intention of fixing spectre 1, because admitting their chips are at fault is going to cause the lawsuits to be a slam dunk. They're going to pretend it's unfixable as long as possible.
